Design at its best at the Australian International Furniture Fair 2010
The Australian International Furniture Fair co-located with interiors fair, Decoration + Design Sydney, enjoyed strong attendance of 6,500 buyers from Australia and overseas all keen to view the future trends and to buy stock from some of Australia's top manufacturers and wholesalers. The three day trade event was held 3-5 February at the Sydney Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour and is the first furniture Trade Fair on the 2010 Asia Pacific calendar.

Five acclaimed experts in textiles colour and design will take to the stage when the International Industry Seminar Series returns to the Australian International Furniture Fair in Sydney, February 2010. Forecasting trends, ranging from colour stories to textile developments, the speakers will reveal the visionary concepts shaping the future of furniture and interior design.
The Industry Seminar Series will open with world renowned trend expert Kathryn Ireland (USA), speaking on Aesthetic Inspirations from around the World, and discussing her design philosophy & colour sense. Kathryn Ireland, one of the world's most influential interior and fabric designers, will review several of her most recent projects, exploring her process of combining pattern, texture and colour to create the feeling of a well-lived life. Australian Designers on The Edge
The Edge, Sydney's premier event for new and emerging designers, will exhibit a record breaking number of products in its seventh year when it returns to the AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR, 3-5 February 2010 at the Sydney Exhibition Centre, Darling Harbour.
The Edge will feature emerging designers from Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand showcasing over 80 products, competing in the areas of Student, Commercial, Concept and Green.
Highlights include a doodling chaise lounge, ribbon sphere light, in plant garden planter inspired by Australia's rugged landscape and Freefold 02 Bookshelf designed to hold books horizontally, vertically and strong enough to house a TV. Read Full Story
Australian manufacturers are back with strength
From 3-5 February 2010, the AUSTRALIAN INTERNATIONAL FURNITURE FAIR will be the meeting point for more than 250 Australian and international exhibitors, showcasing their current products and discussing future trends. Hosted at the Sydney Exhibition Centre Darling Harbour, this year already denotes 30 percent more Australian manufacturers, featuring the Fair's largest showcase of Australian manufacturers ever.
