Tassie player heads north

Home grown leather furniture specialist Just Leather is hoping to capitalise on renewed market confidence to penetrate the Sydney market, having signed up to participate at the Australian International Furniture Fair in early 2010.

Just Leather representative Simon Davis said a positive experience at Furnitex trade fair in Melbourne this year and a sense that market demand was changing, had led to the decision to take on the Sydney and interstate markets.

"We got a lot of interest from decorators at the [Furnitex] fair. There's also a sense that interest in Australian made product is returning to the market. People are certainly being much more selective in their buying habits following the global financial crisis."

Located in Launceston, Tasmania, and owned and operated by Wayne and Lucille Davis, Just leather, trading as Wayne Davis Furniture Design from 1984, is a manufacturer of high quality of leather and fabric furniture.

The company specialises in unique Tasmanian timbers, featuring solids and veneers which are used for solid frame construction in combination with full grain leathers and premium quality fabrics.

Just Leather will showcase its range of leather seating and sofas at the Australian International Furniture Fair from 3-5 February 2010 at the Sydney Exhibition Centre.
